For the official launch of BKLYN1834, we set up shop in Austin, Texas during SXSW 2014 and created a fully interactive creative and performance space --  The BKLYN House.  With our team and a number of artists all under one roof, we hosted six events during SXSW's Media and Music weeks which included live performances, DJ sets, video shoots, 3D printing, custom screenprinting, live art, recording sessions, and more.

Asheville, NC

The BKLYN1834 tour departed Brooklyn on March 1st and traveled first to the beautiful mountain town of Asheville, NC.  We joined up with 4 additional SxSW bands to perform at a mini-festival at the Emerald Lounge in funky downtown Asheville.  We shot a BKLYN AIR piece for rock band A-Va-Va, overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Hattiesburg, MS

Next, we trekked to Columbus, MS where the team stayed at a beautiful Victorian mansion which served as the backdrop for several photo and video shoots.  From Columbus, we traveled to Hattiesburg, MS to play a show at the renowned Thirsty Hippo on Fat Tuesday.

Fort Worth, TX

From Mississippi, we continued west to the great state of Texas, where many from the crew call home.  For the final show on the road, we played a packed out show in Fort Worth at the Aardvark.

On March 8th, BKLYN1834 and Brooklyn Brewery hosted Makers Night at The BKLYN House featuring the Boxcar Bandits band, and a Makerbot 3D Printer which was set up for all attendees to scan + print with.   Attendees were also able to print Brooklyn Brewery logo + bottle opener keychains to take home + use throughout SxSW.
